Musicotherapeutic methods

No previous musical knowledge is required for music therapy.

In music therapy, the current state of health and the sense of experience are or primary importance. Singing and active music playing on easily playable instruments can set off certain inner processes. Moreover, listening to music in groups evokes new experiences and insights which we can then analyze and verbalize.

Therapeutic objectives can be discussed in advance and the course of therapy thereupon tailored to individual clients. When working with children, I like to complement the music with dance and physical movement.
